Laura's Warm Weather Wish List

Now that warm weather is lurking around the corner and spring style is popping up in retail stores everywhere, I can't help but fantasize about new items to wear in 60+ degree weather. Crochet dresses, straw hats, fringe bags, and swimsuits are on my mind this season. You can bet I'll also be sporting some Flash Tattoos around the beach, too. They are super trendy and hot for festivals and I can't help but love the way they look on suntanned skin.

Spring Arrival

It's officially spring! We thought it was never coming. Although the temps haven't been too high, it's been nice to wear a lighter jacket and sunglasses for a change. The weather is actually pretty chilly again today, but when we snapped these photos on Friday, it was beautiful outside.

Katelyn came over for my lunch break on Friday and she was lucky enough to indulge in an ice cold Summer Shandy because her vacation officially started at 10am that day. I, on the other hand, had to head back to work. However; we did enjoy some brews together at The Back Forty Friday night since Steve and his band played there.

Katelyn is currently enjoying some Florida sunshine with her mom and step-dad for the next week and I take off for Nashville on Sunday for just a couple days. Then I'll be back in Nashville again in mid-April! Does anyone have any upcoming vacations planned?

Hello, Sunshine

Daylight savings has arrived and I (Laura) swear I'm having a harder time adjusting than I usually do. Aside from it being difficult to wake up in the pitch black mornings, I'm loving the extra sunlight past 7pm. It feels so good to get out of the office and still feel productive in the daylight.

Last Wednesday, Katelyn and I met up at The Sparrows for coffee before heading to our typical Wednesday SowHope.org meetings. It's always a breath of fresh air to get together with the SowHope team and hash out marketing strategies and talk about upcoming trips. Nothing feels as good as volunteering your time to a greater good.

March Madness

Welcome March. I cannot believe how insanely fast this year is flying by. I can already tell this month is going to be a busy one. Katelyn is going back to the JW Marriott part time (yahoo!) and we're both busy with work, volunteering, blogging, gym time & husbands. I don't know how we get everything done…coffee, a lot of coffee. Speaking of, we met up the other day for a cup of joe and some quality cousin time. Lately the gym and our volunteering meetings are when we get to see each other so it was nice to slow down and catch up.
