Laura's Month of May via Instagram

May came and went as quick as ever.  It's so crazy to think that one month ago it was still chilly outside.  It was like Summer just hit Michigan overnight.  I spent the entire afternoon laying out at my grandma's pool today and it was magical.

Here is what the past month looked like for me:

1. I finally moved back to Grand Rapids- in the Eastown neighborhood (which is the greatest ever). We had a lot of work to    do on the house, but it's definitely coming along. I'm really happy here.
2. I took Steven out for his birthday at Grove.
3. I attended the Sparrow Fashion Show & Pop-Up Shop at Eve in the B.O.B. downtown.
4.  Steve bought me some beautiful pink peonies that made my bedroom smell divine.
5. Warmer weather means food trucks are out in GR. I love food truck tacos from What the Truck.
6. I had my first bridal shower! It was on Steven's side in Canada and it was so lovely.
7. I made pistachio chip cupcakes and brought them into work for others to enjoy. Baking calms my nerves.
8. More morning lattes with Katelyn. We are most productive when we meet in the mornings before work.
9. I loved being able to bask in the sun for the first time this year. Although I think I got a bit of a sunburn today..

Bring it on, June! I'm ready for you.

Summer Breeze

How beautiful is this weather, you guys? I find myself constantly wanting to be outside quite honestly because I can actually be outside without shivering. It has been the perfect temperature to sit outside for awhile and read a book and listen to some music. We both just finished The Fault in our Stars and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good read! There's something so magical about completely losing yourself in a book. Laura and I took a few minutes out of our busy schedules to snap some photos:

Laura's Bridal Shower #1: Canada

I had my first bridal shower on Sunday in Canada! I am still overwhelmed with joy at how beautiful it was and how generous Steve's family is. We are both so lucky to have such a huge loving family on both sides. It was a perfect day. Special thanks to my future mother-in-law and sister-in-law for all you did to put on such a lovely shower. <3

Hung-Up on Summer Heels

I have been so taken by beautiful, strappy, vibrant high heels lately.  I don't know if it's the weather finally gracing us with the face of the sun or my mind being so caught up on formal wear and wedding festivities that has gotten me engrossed fancy shoes, but it's all I've been thinking about.  What heel trends have you all been loving lately?  I'm a sucker for an ankle strap.
Here are some of my favorites:

Summer Preview

The weather this week has been absolutely perfect.  It's so great to wake up and already feel the 60+ degree temps followed by sunny afternoons and high 70s.  Michigan, I didn't think you had it in you this year.  Thanks for proving us wrong.  You're beautiful.  If this week is any indicator of what our summer is going to feel like, we welcome it with open arms.
Katelyn's wearing: Shoes- Converse // Shorts- Old Navy // Belt- H&M // Shirt- Gap // Hat- Meijer

 Laura's wearing: Dress, Necklace, Bracelet- Forever 21 // Belt- Marshall's // Wedges- Kohl's
On a kind-of related note of beautiful weather- how excited are you all about exquisitely brilliant blossoms this season? Steven recently bought me some of my favorite blooms: pink peonies. How beautiful are these?

What are your favorite spring flowers?  I'm generally a fan of anything that can make my house smell sweet and fragrant.  Lilacs and lilies are up there for me.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Laura and Katelyn
