Mapping it Out

You know those days where everything feels like a constant uphill battle? That was yesterday. I feel like I've been stretched and pulled in all directions and challenged in every aspect of life. These sort of days are inevitable, and although they hurt, they are necessary.
Katelyn and I met for coffee and chai teas at The Sparrows so we could map out a few plans we have coming up. After some blog discussions, we moved on to talking about our hopes and plans for the nonprofit organization we volunteer for called SowHope.org. The organization is run by Katelyn's mother-in-law and father-in-law. Ever since working on their marketing and PR team together, I've gained more perspective and a sense of purpose. Even through the hardships, it feels so good to belong somewhere and to give back. Having a supportive husband like Steve and a partner-in-crime-cousin like Katelyn to celebrate the triumphs is pretty gratifying and beautiful, too. I guess what I'm trying to say here is.. power through it. We are all challenged. We all feel defeated. Keep pushing, it's worth it.

  1. I know what you mean. I want to do so many things but can't physically commit to them all. Having a great support system really helps! Happy weekend.
