Wander[lust]: Katelyn & Alex's Bucket List

Everyone seems to be pretty familiar with the term "Bucket List". For me, I can tell a lot about a person while traveling with them. Once I traveled with Alex, I realized there was no one else I would rather have as my travel partner for the rest of my life. I recently read an article from Condé Nast Traveler about the "Top 25 Cities in the World" and I figured this would be a good place to start! You can check the article out here.
Granted, I have already been to a few of these places, but not with Alex.

A Gorgeous photo of Venice courtesy of my Stepdad.

Alex also decided that adding "Visiting every professional ball park in America" would be a good addition. So far we've only been to Wrigley Field and AT&T Park, so we have a bit to go. I think it's important to always have goals set for yourself and your travel goals are just as important! I hope everyone had a fabulous Monday! Mine was spent watching movies and eating soup trying to get rid of a sickness, unfortunately.

What's on your Bucket List?

Wander[lust]: A Minnesota Sunrise

Do you ever have that moment where the stars align and deliver you to that perfect place at that perfect time? Well that happened this last weekend in Minnesota after watching Laura's fiancé and his band play on Saturday night. My mom, stepdad and I left at 5:50am so we could get back to Michigan at a reasonable time. We stopped at Starbucks along the way for a little bit of fuel for the hours ahead. As we rounded one of the bends on the highway, this happened:

I am so use to seeing gorgeous sunsets on Lake Michigan, so a sunrise on a small lake in Minnesota was a perfect way to end a road trip.

World, you're pretty cool.

If you're a traveler like us over here, check out my friend Cat's blog as she travels solo around Europe for 6 weeks!

Wander[lust]: Capture the Colour

Hello all! Katelyn here. I've decided to share all my travel inspirations with you guys weekly by starting  a new series called Wander[lust]. I'll post all my travel musings, all travel related things I'm lusting over, items on my personal bucket list, on mine and Alex's bucket list, etc. This happens to be the perfect week to start it because a few of the travel blogs I read have entered in the Capture the Colour contest, and by golly gee I want to rummage through all my travel photos too! Here are the photos' I've selected for the various colors, enjoy!

Perhaps not to be is to be without your being,
without your going, that cuts noon light

like a blue flower, without your passing
later through fog and stones,
without the torch you lift in your hand
that others may not see as golden,
that perhaps no one believed blossomed
the glowing origin of the rose,
without, in the end, your being, your coming
suddenly, inspiringly, to know my life,
blaze of the rose-tree, wheat of the breeze:
and it follows that I am, because you are:
it follows from ‘you are’, that I am, and we:
and, because of love, you will, I will,
We will, come to be.

Travel Tuesday: Italy

So you know how everyone does #throwbackthursday or #whateverdayoftheweekitisandawordthatbeginswiththatletter? Well this is my attempt to be cool like the kids these days so I've decided on Travel Tuesday. No one gets excited about Tuesday because it's still early on, so I figured everyone (including myself) could use a little inspiration. Maybe I've got a bad case of the travel bug lately, but here are a few photos from my trip to Italy in 2009 to inspire that Wanderlust inside of you.

You honestly just don't see that kind of historical, beautiful and enchanting side alley in the United States. I could get wonderfully lost for hours in these side streets.

Here I am in the same city enjoying a cappuccino with my mom and stepdad. Little did I know, this town is actually where my fiancé's family is from. It's the little things in life you guys.

Have a fabulous rest of your day!

xoxo, K
