Travel Tuesday: Chicago

For this Travel Tuesday I present to you-Chicago! This is the closest big city to us here in Grand Rapids, and it's just a four hour car ride or a train ride away. If Alex and I are looking for a day getaway we love hopping on the train and visiting Chi-town. Here are a few of our favorite places to eat:

Portillo's for the best Chicago Style hot dogs and Beef Sandwiches.

Giordano's for the best deep dish pizza ever. Seriously, I dream about this pizza.
Of course we love to do a little shopping on Michigan Avenue whenever I'm there :)

Some key activities to do while in Chicago are to visit The Bean, walk over the glass floor in the John Hancock building, see the Chicago Symphony Orchestra or a Broadway show and my personal favorite: grab a cocktail in the Sears Tower. The view is amazing & ladies- go to the bathroom, even if you don't have to! The view from the women's restroom is one of my favorite city skyline views thus far.

Classic selfie with The Bean in the background.

Alex is convinced we're going to name our daughter Addison some day since that's one of the streets Wrigley Field is on. Did I mention he's a die hard Chicago everything fan (except WhiteSox)!

Where are your favorite places to go in Chicago?

xoxo, k
