Laura's Month of January via Instagram

I know, I've been officially off the map for three weeks. My excuse: winter. I have to admit that I absolutely despise the month of January. Some parts were great, including getting a handle on my fitness goals, eating better, and other related NYE resolution-type issues. However, as far as getting out and taking photos and being social, I completely failed. I cannot express how ready I am for spring to come. I need a new season, I need these horrible west Michigan blizzards to stop, and I need to get out of my house.

So, there you have it. I hate winter. And I live in Michigan. This is all my own fault.
All of this hibernating has led me to being productive in other ways. I can actually say that I'm on track with my diet and exercise habits right now, which feels great.

Here's my recap of last month:

1. Kicked off the month by setting my goals at the gym.
2. Steve and his band opened for Josh Thompson at the Intersection. I enjoyed the show from his merch table.
3. Purchased some much needed new shoes for running. Love them.
4. Went to the Detroit Red Wings vs. LA Kings game with our great friends and had FRONT ROW SEATS. Best night.
5. Worked on some wedding centerpieces with my sister/moh.
6. Met up with a best friend for bloody mary's and brunch in an attempt to regain my social life.
7. Modeled some items from Sparrow and hosted a giveaway. Check out their products!
8. Pushed myself to get better at running despite my asthma. I'm getting better!
9. A new, healthy restaurant opened in downtown GR across from my office and I love it!

I hope you are all doing well. I'm hoping to see more of you now that January is over and spring is right around the corner [hopefully].

xoxo,
Laura

  1. I love that you have been pushing yourself with running. I used to hate running, I thought running was just crazy since I couldn't breath half of the time. I started running a little more each time and it's getting better and better. This is my first time on your blog & I love it, consider me a follower.

    1. Running is definitely not my cup of tea, but I feel so good once I'm done! I love that feeling of accomplishment after I get a few miles in.

      Thanks for stopping by!
