Rainy Day Grillin'

Yesterday Laura came over to my house and I grilled some brats and corn for us while we jammed out to NEEDTOBREATH. It was raining the whole time, but thankfully our grill is only two steps out our back door.

Travel Tuesday: Granada + A Perfect Travel Companion

I can't believe these were daily sights while I lived in Granada. Besides the bestest of friends, my other travel companion was the perfect bag. It had to have a zipper that completely closed--I love Europe, but you can never be too careful. In some big cities pick-pocketers are so talented you won't even know it happened. Sidewalk Sunshine

This week temperatures actually reached all the way up into the 80s. Although that was brief, it's been absolutely beautiful outside for the entire weekend. With warm weather, I've come to realize that I really need to invest in some patio furniture. It'll be the perfect spot to enjoy some summer reading (and people watching). On Friday, Katelyn stopped over after work and we headed to dinner with a friend and sipped on margaritas. It feels so good to be back in Grand Rapids.

Downtown Perks

In our attempt to visit as many local breakfast joints, delis, boutiques and coffee shops as possible in our city, we've been meeting up in the early hours to grab our caffeine fix before heading off to work. It's been a complete blessing to both be working downtown where we are only walking distance away from one another. This morning we met up at Lantern Coffee Bar and Lounge.

We cannot get enough of this 70+ degree Michigan weather today.  Even though it's supposed to rain on and off all week, we're hopeful that the temperatures stay high.  It's so nice to hear the city sounds and street performers, smell the aromas of street vendors, and see people sitting in the grass of Rosa Parks Circle eating their lunches and soaking up the sun.  It's perfect.

Breakfast for Two

Yesterday morning I headed over to Laura's new house to check it out, then we headed over to Cherie Inn to grab some breakfast and coffee. I am pretty stoked that Laura is only a 10 minute drive from my house now! We split the french toast and chugged some hazelnut coffee before snapping a few pics and heading to work. I have to admit I'm pretty excited spring finally decided to show up here in Michigan!
