Pops of Red

Katelyn and I met up for lunch yesterday and we were surprised to see we had the same winter inspiration in mind when getting dressed. Black, white, and a pop of red. Either great minds think alike, or we're just getting bored with winter colors. Regardless, we complimented each other quite well. We met up for lunch at our favorite lunch spot, Uncle Cheetah's Soup Shop. I could eat soups/chilis every day in the winter. It's my weakness.

We are so relieved it's now February and that the sunrises are showing some color with hopes that spring is just around the corner. This is the most brutal winter in our existence. Warmer weather is highly anticipated and will not go under appreciated this year. So excited for bare legs and pastels!

Calder Plaza

Last night Katelyn and I met up for some overdue hangout time. Between her being away on her honeymoon and me being in Canada, we had so much to catch up on. We met up in Calder Plaza of downtown Grand Rapids, where there is a giant sculpture called La Grande Vitesse, which translates to Grand Rapids. We just adore our city.

A Lunch Break at the Park

Good evening everyone! Now that I (Katelyn) don't have to wake up at 5am anymore I can stay up later bloggin'! That being said, Laura and I met up this afternoon to take some photos at Riverside Park.   To make our visit even better, these adorable ducks followed us the whole time! Here's how Laura is wearing a maxi skirt this summer.

My cousins is so gorgeous you guys! I remember when I was younger and I wanted to be just like her in every way possible. That's probably why it felt like Christmas every time Laura's mom brought over her hand-me-downs for me.

Laura's Month of March via Instagram

Is it just me, or did the month of March FLY by? It seems so crazy. I remember thinking in February "UGH, this month is dragging!" and now I'm all like "Where did March go?!"

I'm usually excited for April. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited it's "officially" Spring and that the  new month has arrived, but it's STILL snowing in Michigan!! When is it going to end?!

Anyway, here's a small review of my month of March through the eyes of Instagram. 

1. Hanging out on the Blue Bridge in Grand Rapids. 

2. Syrus lounging on his favorite sofa in my living room. He's the laziest dog. 

3. Painting nails, eating snacks, drinking cocktails, and watching movies with my bff, Tieka of Selective Potential.

5. My first visit to Niagara falls with Steven and my parents.

8. A little note and gifts to cheer me up from Katelyn. How awesome is she?!

9. The silk tie Easter eggs my mom, sister and I made before Easter Sunday.

Looking Stylishly Athletic: 101

So great news you guys! Laura and I have decided to join a Kickball league for the spring/summer! We're both pretty athletic. Laura danced her entire life (and was a pretty baller dancer at that), and I played softball my whole life and cheered, even in college for a year. In celebration of using our athletic abilities to awkwardly kick and catch a huge kickball, here's some athletic style inspiration.

C'mon, Spring!

We finally had a beautiful day in Grand Rapids. Still a bit chilly, yes, but the sun was shining and EVERYONE seemed to be in a better mood because of it. It's amazing how much of a difference the sunshine can make. After I got out of work, Katelyn and I headed over to the blue bridge to take in the beauty that is Downtown Grand Rapids. It's starting to look like Spring really is just around the corner.
